Everything you need to get the most out of TradeLog NZ.

Getting started

Welcome to TradeLog NZ — the only trading journal built for how New Zealand traders are actually taxed.

Quick setup (5 minutes)

  1. Set your profile — go to Settings → Profile and enter your other annual income (salary, rental, etc.). This is required to calculate your correct marginal tax bracket.
  2. Add your broker — Settings → Trading Profile, or during the signup flow. Your account currency determines how trades are converted to NZD.
  3. Import or add trades — use Import CSV from your broker, or manually add trades one at a time.
  4. Review your dashboard — your net P&L, tax liability, and provisional tax estimates update in real time.
NZ Tax year reminder: The New Zealand tax year runs 1 April to 31 March. TradeLog automatically groups your trades by NZ tax year.
